LP : Orchester Werner Müller - The Strip Goes On
Original German stereo pressing from 1972 on the red, deepgrooved DECCA label, SLK 16707-P. There’s also a weaker sounding canadian pressing on “ace of clubs”, this here is the original pressing with an extraordinary sound-quality.

Tracks: Bodybuilding - Too Darn Hot - Femme Femme - The Beat Goes On - Je t´aime, moi non plus - The Stripper - Oh Baby It´s Cold Outside – Satisfaction - Get Up I Feel Like Being A Sex Machine - Strip Strap Stroll - Rumba Juanita

The hippest and also one of the rarest LPs by bandleader W.Müller, best known for it’s funky “Bodybuilding”-track. There’s only one weaker track on the whole record (“Strip Strap Stroll”, with a kind of funny word-joke-lyrics), all other tracks are dope “In-Kraut”-style ! Has some unique, sometimes hard to believe cover versions of : J.Brown’s”Sex Machine”, Serge Gainsbourg’s ”Je t’aime...”, the Stones’”Satisfaction” or Sonny & Cher’s “The Beat Goes On”. Some great latin tunes like Gert Wilden’s ( the composer of “Schoolgirls Report” ) ”Rumba Juanita” or J.Loussier’s ”Femme Femme” , whose title track of the “Engelchen”-soundtrack is also performed here. ”The Stripper” and “Oh Baby It’s Cold Outside” are also funky strip-music. Tons of sexy breathed female vox, scat vocals, man/woman “conversations”, fat and tight euro bigband, funky drums & guitars, club-tunes plus some breaks. Nice sexy/nude front and back on a fully laminated cover. The record was released in a lower quantity due to the LP’s “erotic” subject and artwork and to avoid damaging W.Müller’s reputation as a serious easy-listening bandleader, it’s pretty hard to track down. Highly recommended !

Condition: the LP looks & plays in mint-. The cover has a beautiful front & back, the lamination is intact, all seams/spine are intact without any rub, on the back's upper left there's a small part next to the opening in wich the colour is a little bit darker, the lower left corner is moderately bended ( nothing real serious, see photo); overall ex-.

Zustand: die LP ist optisch & akkustisch in mint-. Das Cover hat eine schön erhaltene Vorder- & Rückseite, die Laminierung und alle Kanten sind komplett intakt, keinerlei Kantenabrieb, auf der Rückseite hat ein ganz schmaler Teil links oben neben dem Einschub eine leicht dunklere Farbe, die untere linke Ecke ist mäßig geknickt ( nichts Wildes, siehe Foto) ; insgesamt in ex-. alle Platten habe ich professionell gereinigt und angehört (meist ganz, manchmal in Ausschnitten). Kommen mit neuer Außen- & Innenhülle !

Grading & Cleaning:

  • the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

  • after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

  • I also visually graded the record in daylight, in normal artificial light & under a strong halogen lamp

  • only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg

  • cleaned records are stored in a new pro innersleeve and they are placed in a PVC protection-sleeve
