THE WEE FOUR-45-"Weird" b/w "Give Me A Try"-Nu-Sound LTD. Records #611-Powerhouse Killerkool MONSTER 1966 Rochester, New York Garage-Punk. A side has the menacing elements of LOVE'S "7 And 7 Is" at times with wailing drums throughout-great lead vocal and harmonies, sort of Clefs Of Lavendar Hill meets the Standells for lack of a better description, great and killerkool lead guitar break. Killer cut. 5-star all the way. B side is more like Mersey/Clefs Of Lavendar Hill...still cool, but not deadly like the A side...Great record and band...late lead singer-drummer Terry Pilittere told me around 1000-2000 of these were pressed...have seen a few copies over the decades, but this record is from this region and obviously more turn up here than anywhere else...Rare & Great... Condition: Record is somewhere between G+ and VG-...actually a nice copy...has some light surface scuffs/paper scuffs/very light wear visible in certain light angles...PLAYS GREAT with a light 'hiss' which is actually caused more from the use of the drummer's heavy use of sizzle/ride cymbals... Label has a slight red 'x' on both sides...worn off on A side...some light wear also...
