Description

This is one of the rarest of production records.  On one side, we have "Shoe Fly Pie and Apple Pan Dowdy," on the reverse, "Who's Got a Tent for Rent?"  The colors are really wonderful!  It says "licensed for non-commercial use on home phonographs only. R-750.  P-72.  copyright Sav-Way Industries, Detroit 13, Michigan, - Pat. Pending, The Picture Record, A Tom Saffady Product,  Reg. U. S. Pat. Off."  Under the titles of the songs are "Gallop-Wood" and "Fulton-Cunliffe."  The condition is really fine although I am assured that it was played often.  At the very edge, there are a number of tiny smooth depressions.  I would think they were chips, but they are way too smooth, more like ripples.  I have to wiggle it back and forth in the light to catch them.  Maybe they're teensy chips.  You guys all know better than I do.

On Jun-02-05 at 06:36:38 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have just attempted to show the itty bitty imperfections at the edge of the record for someone with a question and cannot get them to show up in a photograph.  Looking at the photograph that you can already see in the listing, they show up better than in the close ups I was trying to make.  Along the edge of the record, for about 3 inches, at the place where it says Vogue the Picture Record, on the Shoo Fly Pie side, you can just pick out a glint where the light catches the highs and lows.  I hope it helps.  If you can't see the imperfections, it's because they are sooooo tiny, that most folks would not even see them at all.  I can just feel them when I run my finger along the edge.  I just didn't want to hear from a buyer that I didn't mention them.
