Description
This listing is an original 78RPM Vogue Picture Record dating from the mid-to-late 1940's. The record is R732 and features Art Mooney and His Orchestra with titles I Don't Know Why (I Just Do) b/w In The Moonmist. Both sides of the record are embossed with the wording FACTORY REJECT.
As seen in Scan #1, there are three wavy lines which appear to be minor separations in the paper illustration detail and reveal what is likely the aluminum core material. These lines are beneath the vinyl surface and do not impact the integrity of the sound. Despite the presence of these lines, the imagery is visually attractive, and the record remains in very nice, undamaged condition. I have played both sides of the record and there are no skips, pops, or other audio flaws. There is some extremely light hissing sound mainly in the early portion of the recorded sound. This factor might be lessened or even eliminated with a light surface cleaning. I am quite confident that the record would likely grade no lower than VG+ by GOLDMINE standards; and perhaps higher.
Please review the scans. Questions emailed to me will receive a prompt and accurate reply.
U.S postage is set at 4.00 which includes a USPS Tracking Number. At the buyer's discretion, Priority Mail is an option with the S/H fee set at 15.00. Postal insurance in the amount of 2.00 is optional.
If won by the same high bidder, I will combine for shipment this listing with the other Vogue Picture Record I am listing this evening (August 17th).
