This No Reserve auction is for the Vogue Picture Record number R723 in the photos. It is a 78 rpm record, 10 inch diameter. On one side of the record is WAVE TO ME, MY LADY by ART KASSEL and HIS ORCHESTRA. On the other side is YOU WON'T BE SATISFIED ('til You Break My Heart), also by ART KASSEL.
THIS IS A FACTORY REJECT record. It is stamped FACTORY REJECT on both sides. See the 3rd photo. Vogue Picture Records were only produced for 11 months, from May 1946 to April 1947, when the company went into receivership. When the company shut down, all FACTORY REJECT records were supposed to have been destroyed. Obviously, this didn't completely happen, and now they offer additional collectability to Vogue records.
There are no edge chips. There is heavy surface scuffing. There is something about the record that made it a reject at the time it was produced, but I'm not sure what it is. Could be the scuffing. Could be some defect in the pictures. Maybe the songs don't match the pictures (I don't have a player to check it out).
