Description

Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible slice of British Invasion rock history: an original 1965 US true first pressing Mono copy of Help! (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) by The Beatles. Released on Capitol Records (Catalog: MAS-2386), this specific variant is highly coveted by audiophiles and vinyl purists for its distinct, heavy-punch analog mono mix which differs completely from the common stereo reissues. Pressing Details & Curation Features:

  • The Center Label: Features the iconic mid-century black label surrounded by the vibrant, multi-color "rainbow" outer ring. The Capitol dome logo sits proudly at 12 o'clock, accompanied by early first-print serif font layouts and correct text track credits.
  • The Gatefold Packaging: This historic release comes housed in its original deluxe gatefold jacket. The interior unfolds to display spectacular film stills of John, Paul, George, and Ringo on the ski slopes, along with a comedic plot breakdown.
  • Vintage Character: The upper right corner of the front cover features a beautiful, era-authentic $1.75 department store price sticker, preserving a charming slice of mid-century retail ephemera.
Condition Notes (Honest Curation Grading):
  • Vinyl: Original 1965 mono pressing. The vinyl play surfaces are true vintage "as-found" condition, showing visible surface scuffs, faint hairlines, and light sleeve marks from decades of storage. It is an honest, play-graded filler or starter copy rather than a pristine archive disc. Center labels remain exceptionally bright and clean with crisp fonts.
  • Jacket & Gatefold: Sturdy cardboard construction. The front and back covers present beautifully with deep ink saturation and solid internal gatefold seams. Shows typical vintage seam scuffing and minor corner wear correct for its age.
Please review the high-resolution listing photos closely to inspect the exact lines, matrix areas, and corner details for your final assessment. Shipping & Offers:
  • FREE SHIPPING INCLUDED! The record will be handled with expert care. The vinyl disc will be removed from the jacket during transport to prevent seam splits, and the entire package will be securely wrapped and shipped inside a dedicated, rigid cardboard record mailer.
  • Best Offers Welcome: Open to reasonable offers from serious Beatles collectors, original trilogy pop-culture historians, and fellow vintage storefront curators!
