Description
TUAC 'WEIGHT & TREBLE' PRE-AMP.
Original late 70's/early 80's Hand built (from a Kit) U.K Reggae Sound-System Pre-Amp in fully working order.
This comes from the days when Sound Systems played 2-way splitting the bass & treble only, before the advent of the 3 way split featuring bass, middle & tops.
Features include the cutting in & out of the bass & the treble by the flick of a switch for dubwise selection. It takes 2 decks (mono inputs) & has mic & aux mono inputs (all by jack plugs). It has 2 outputs on channel 1 & 2 outputs on channel 2.
I picked this up in Derby along with the speaker boxes & records way back in the late 80's. It has recently been cleaned & tested by my engineer. It works fine. There is a sticker inside the pre-amp stating "tested by Reg 12/10/82" giving an indication of its vintage.
A RARE & UNIQUE PIECE OF U.K SOUND-SYSTEM HERITAGE FROM THE DAYS OF 'Sufferer', 'Quaker' 'Jungle Man' etc .etc at Derby's immortal Havanna Club.
It weighs 2kg so postage within U.K will be £9 by 1st class recorded. Postage to Europe will be £15 by Royal Mail Signed For Service. Postage to Rest of the World will be £25 by Royal Mail Signed For Service.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE £4 POSTAGE CHARGE QUOTED IS INCORRECT. BUT I AM FORCED TO PUT IT IN BY e-bay. PLEASE SEE ABOVE FOR CORRECT POSTAL RATES FOR THIS ITEM. THANK YOU.
