Vintage 1982 Michael Jackson Thriller Vinyl LP – True US First Pressing (Rare Back Cover Error) – Excellent Vinyl
Up for sale is a certified genuine, true 1982 US First Pressing of Michael Jackson’s cultural masterpiece, Thriller (Epic Records, QE 38112).
This copy is highly sought after by audiophiles and serious collectors alike because it features the highly desirable, earliest 2A master stamper metadata incised in the dead wax (PAL-38112 2A on Side 1 / PBL-38112 2A on Side 2). Furthermore, it features the rare first-state back cover variant which completely lacks the later Michael Jackson co-producer credits below the management lines.
Vinyl Condition:
The vinyl disc itself is in gorgeous, Excellent condition. As shown in the pictures, the black wax retains a high-gloss factory shine and is completely free of any scratches. The paper Epic center labels are crisp, bold, and free of writing or spindle wear. It has been carefully handled and offers a premium, high-fidelity listening experience.
Jacket & Inner Sleeve Condition:
The original gatefold jacket is structurally sound but does show some honest signs of age and shelf wear, which have been clearly photographed so you can buy with total confidence:
Front Cover: There is a minor cosmetic scuff/wear spot along the top center edge above the artist script.
Inner Gatefold: There is some surface residue remaining along the top inner border area which was carefully cleaned as best as possible. There are also a couple of tiny, isolated spots on the white background section of the inner back panel.
Rear Cover: There is a small area of light surface rubbing near the top left side.
The original lyric inner sleeve is included and remains fully intact, featuring the famous Michael Jackson and tiger cub illustration.
