Description

1970's HONEYCOMBS HAUNTED HOUSE/SPOOKY STORIES CEREAL BOX CARDBOARD RECORD:

'GHOST IN THE ATTIC'!

A HALLOWEEN GHOST STORY!

The record appears to be in great condition. I don't have a record player to test sound quality...but it's made of cardboard and was produced back in the 70's on the back of a cereal box, so I'm willing to bet sound quality isn't gonna be top notch. Snaps/crackles/pops surely abound on any surviving specimens. The record was cut out from the back of a cereal box and won't have perfect edges or spindle hole (see photo). So no returns based on these issues, please. Collector's online advise weighing down the stylus and edges of the record with quarters when you play these cardboard records.

What makes this a prime collectible is the spooky, colorful, powerfully nostalgic Halloween art on the record itself--A spooky old Haunted House, weird faces growing out of the chimney, bats flying over the full moon...all that groovy Halloween imagery on one very rare record. Perfect Halloween décor, and a cool remnant of Halloween's long past.

At left bottom corner embossed Record No. 2, which is GHOST IN THE ATTIC. Those who remember it fondly from their childhoods (judging from posts online, many do) will remember this as the creepy story of a brother and sister who go exploring the haunted attic in search of treasures and finding something horrible instead...

We ship within 24 hours of receipt of payment. I'm selling another, completely different Halloween/Ghost Story Cereal Box Record, for anyone interested.
