Description
Billy Murray on a very nice EARLY Odd label 78 RPM record by the VIM Company, Chicago, Ill. “For any Disc Talking Machine” and “New Process” are on the off white label with black printing. “Vim” is in bright red and displays nicely. According to a friend who is a long time record collector he has never seen one. He looked the label up for me in Rust’s book (edition not known) and Rust mentions the label but he said he had only seen one example and that was by Ossman. This one is #2054 “I’ve got a Little Money; and I saved it all for you” by Murray, a humorous song with dialog in the middle. One of the lines of dialog is “I just got a job down at the Ice House for $4.00 for the week and I’ll buy you a new red automobile”. No chips, has numerous light surface scratches and abrasions from years of handling and one noticeable scratch but the record plays well on my Victrola with no skips and it doesn't "tic" on my Victrola when played. Some marring of the printing on the label (see pic) but the label is 100% readable. When have you seen another?
