Description

The Missourians were a New York City group who made a half-dozen sides on Victor from mid-1929 to early 1930.  This disc, recorded on June 3, 1929, features "Ozark Mountain Blues" and "You'll Cry for Me, But I'll Be Gone."  This last has a vocal by Lockwood Lewis, director of the ensemble.  I don't recognize any of the musicians but Docks places a high value on this disc so the minimum here is a little more than usual.   For a jazz record, this is in surprisingly good shape with minimal graying and a few light scratches.  Condition V++
