This is the band's second album, featuring Hopper, Wyatt and Ratledge. It is more of a seamless album than their first, and it is Wyatt's influence that comes to the fore here, both because of his voice but also because of his playfulness, which offsets Ratledge's formalist rigour. This is a really important album in progressive rock history as well as a key stepping stone for the band (named as The Soft Machine in these days, of course) on their way to the jazz fusion style that characterised their later work.
This is the original Probe Records release, with the flipback sleeve and front lamination. This makes the record much more collectable (though of course the music is the most important thing).

The tracks melt together to give the impression of continuously developing music - it seems they split them up into smaller pieces with titles to increase the amount they would be paid for sales.
The vinyl is in Ex- condition (visually perfect - it looks more or less Mint). The sleeve is in VG+ condition BUT a previous owner has written in pen on Hugh Hopper's forehead on the reverse. I have included a photo so you can see the extent of this. The written on area is approximately 4cm x 2cm, all of which is shown in the photo. Otherwise the sleeve has no problems. The front cover is unmarked and the spine is intact and entirely readable.
This is a great chance to own a fantastic album. Although this is a valuable item I am starting with a low auction price and there is no reserve. You might pick up an excellent bargain here!
I will post the album within 2 days of receiving payment. It will be in a cardboard LP mailer, further strengthened by an additional cardboard insert.
