Vertebrae by Enslaved.

or Rating:

Performer Notes: During Enslaved's 17-year career, the Norwegian band has evolved album by album, starting as a brooding, eccentric black metal act and evolving into a quintet driven by musical expressionism. VERTEBRAE, Enslaved's 10th studio album, is just the next stage in the band's arcane development. The follow-up to 2006's critically acclaimed Norwegian Grammy-winning RUUN, it continues Enslaved's path towards more esoteric musical pastures, all the while retaining the band's trademark heaviness.

Professional Reviews: Alternative Press (p.142) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "Tempos slacken, guitars and keyboards rain minor chords, and the melancholic atmosphere bleeds through the speakers until our headspace is left somewhere between pulverized and comfortably numb."

Kerrang (Magazine) (p.60) - Ranked #19 in Kerrang's Best Albums Of The Year 2008 -- "VERTEBRAE is brimming with the darkness of black metal..."

Format: Vinyl (1 Disc)
