Velvet Underground & Nico - OG 1967 Mono Vinyl - Lawsuit Sticker w/ Banana
This is an original 1967 MONO pressing of the Velvet Undergound's first record. 
The Lp is in Very Good condition in terms of playback.  In fact, when its not in a quiet part, I would give it a VG+ most of the time.  I have listened to it twice through, on two different record players. Though there are plenty of visible lines, there are no skips or pops. There are consistent little crackles that never take over the volume of the music.  It is a perfectly enjoyable listen.  
The cover certainly has a fair amount of wear, but the spine is perfectly legible. It has no cut-out holes.  The gatefold opens and closes without feeling like it's about to fall apart.  The banana is 98% intact.  Looks like someone long ago briefly considered doing the peel, and then wisely thought better of it.  
The VERVE inner sleeve looks good but has a split along the bottom.
Information i've gathered:  This is an East Coast pressing because it says Side 1 & 2  as opposed to Side A and B respectively. The spine and labels say V-5008 Matrix Side 1 : MG 558            Side 2 : MG 559.  Both handwritten style as opposed to stamp
This is a first pressing with a sticker put over the back to protect Eric Whoeverthatwas.
I have compared the stereo mix to the mono mix.  The mono mix makes way more sense.  It feels better.   Other information I've read, is that the mono sold significantly less than the stereo originally when it came out.  Between 13 and 14 thousand copies.  So that is enough to qualify it as rare for sure.   Look closely at the pictures to make sure you know what you're getting.
