Description

Up for auction is an original rare TEST PRESSING of the Velvet Underground 'Velvet Underground' LP on MGM Records 2353 022 from 1969. This is the 1971 UK reissue which apparently has a different mix than the original release.

Record info:

Test pressings are quite rare, usually only a handful are made. This is a strong VG+ with a few scuffs with some surface noise. Murder Mystery has some ticking. Quite nice overall!

Cover info:

Standard UK laminated cover has moderate edge creasing and some laminate bubbling. Solid seams with some minor corner wear.

Pressing info:

Original 1971 UK test pressing. The light blue label is blank on both sides.

Buy with confidence. I grade conservatively. I’ve been selling vinyl since 1976. All records are cleaned with a VPI professional record cleaner and are shipped with records outside the covers to avoid seam damage.
