This 13-song compilation was a sort of showcase for four emerging folk singer/songwriters who had four solo cuts apiece (they do not play on each other's selections). By far the most impressive of the quartet is Richard Farina heard on his own without the partner (Mimi Farina) with whom he would make his music on Vanguard albums...(AllMusic)
