 Up for auction is a 1978 EP Promo red vinyl album featuring the following tracks: 
 Runnin' With The Devil

  Eruption
 Ice Cream Man

  You Really Got Me

  Jamie's Cryin'

Before the internet, we used to go to record shows, and that's where I bought this album in Atlanta, GA, more than 25 years ago.  I'm not a dealer, I don't own a record store.  I was just a huge fan and collected some interesting stuff along the way.      
From what I understand, this record was released as a promo for Van Halen's first album.  According to the research I have done, the album was never offered for sale to the public.  Instead, it was sent to radio stations and given away at the concerts to promote the band.  It was issued in January of '78, and has become the most sought-after record in the Van Halen catalog.   
Note the alternative Van Halen logo, before the winged VH that we all now know so well.  
These are not impossible to find, but it's getting harder and harder, especially in this condition at this price.  
The record is still in its original plastic wrap, has its original inner jacket, and the sleeve is in excellent condition.  Vinyl in near mint shape also.  No scratches to speak of.
