Description
Extremely rare and hard to find. Billy Cox's Nitro Function Lp Vinyl 12" on PYE International. Cat No NSPL28158. Both the vinyl and sleeve are in good condition. There is a scratch on the track "Not My Time" but this doesn't affect sound quality too badly. The cover has only minor edge scuffing and no tears.
Billy Cox was the bass player with Jimi Hendrix Band Of Gypsies and played with the master at Woodstock. He enlisted the guitar playing of Charlotte "Char" Vinnedge for this project and she knocks out a mean fuzz riff reminiscent of Hendrix himself at times. This is excellent stuff and a piece of musical history thats increasingly owned only by Hendrix completists. Not to be missed.
The cover art is one of Roger Deans best pieces and is similar to the work he did for Rameses, Space Hymns Album being prdominantly Green and yellow and featuring a spaceship.
