VOX Custom 24
Vintage guitar, excellent condition
Up for auction is a top of the line Vox Custom 24 guitar from around 1981, built in the Matsumoku factory, Japan. This guitar is in very good condition, especially considering its age. The deep gloss lacquer finish is great, with only some minor spots. The electrics are 100% OK. The guitar plays like dream, with a low action all over the fingerboard up to 24 frets. The solid mahogany neck through body together with the very special DiMarzio X2N pickups and the switching possibilities (series/parallel/phase) deliver great sounds: from crystal clear bell-like clean to fat, high gain distorted (some say Brian May-ish) and the sustain is outstanding. All in all truly a collector’s item!
