For your consideration is this wonderful 1958 complete 24-album set of MINT condition classical music LPs of The Basic Library of the World's Greatest Music. Every album has been carefully inspected and they appear to have either NEVER been played, or played minimally, with little or no spindle wear, scratches, scuffs, etc. All but one of the outer cardboard sleeves are in good to excellent condition. The inner parchment liners are crisp, with minor edge wear from age. The previous owner's name is written in black ink on the inner cover of one album.

Fully illustrated multi-page Listener Guides are included in each album. Most are in good shape, although a few are pulling away from their binding and have a bit of fading or spotting. You could earn a few college level credits in music history just by absorbing all the information contained in these guides!

This set was created by the good people at The New Funk & Wagnalls Encyclopedia. Most likely this set was a predecessor of today's Time-Life collections, with a large compendium of music by various composers for what was probably a very steep price tag in the late 1950's.
