This auction is for, as far as we have been able to establish, a unique pressing of A Parcel of Folk by Parcel of Rogues and The Villagers. Colin Harper is the link between these two groups as he played and made Traditional English Folk music with them both. This pressing is on the private DEROY Label from High Bank Studios in Carnforth in Lancs.
There are 3 members in each group..The Villagers are: Colin Harper, Sheila Smith & John Strivens...Tracks are: Lykewake Dirge, Let all mortal flesh keep silent, John Riley, Byker Hill, The Holly bears a berry .
Parcel of Rogues are:Colin Harper, Eileen Mawson & Jeff Radcliffe. Tracks are: A-Soulin', Marilyn Monroe, Old Pendle, The weaver and the factory maid, Rave on.
The Sleeve and the inner are 0NE OF ONLY TWO known coloured and illustated issues
