I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A LARGE AMOUNT OF AN OLD WAREHOUSE STOCK OF MANY DIY PUNK / MINIMAL SYNTH / INDUSTRIAL / POST PUNK / MESSTHETICS / H2D / HYPED TO DEATH / HOMEWORK / TEENLINE TYPE ITEMS, ALL ARE IN AN UNPLAYED CONDITION !!!! SO KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS !
This is A UNIQUE AND A POSSIBLE ONE OFF UNRELEASED 1981 VIC GODARD & SUBWAY SECT ALBUM FOR ISLAND RECORDS !!!, ORIGINAL PRESSINGS AND A MUST !!!
This album COULD BE THE ULTIMATE RARITY for VIC GODARD & SUBWAY SECT / PUNK / INDIE POP and ISLAND RECORDS collectors.
The album was intended for release on ISLAND RECORDS on the 11/12/81 as you can see from the PROMO INFORMATION SHEET, and was given the ISLAND RECORDS catalogue number ILPS 9707, if you look at any VIC GODARD or ISLAND RECORDS discography you will find out that this album NEVER CAME OUT !!!
This pressing is of 2 ONE SIDED 12" DISCS, and they have the STAMPED MATRIX NUMBERS of: ILPS 9707 A-1U and ILPS 9707 B-1U.
The tracks are hand written on the labels and are:
SIDE 1: HEY NOW (I'M IN LOVE) / CRAZY CRAZY / MR. BENNETT / WHAT'S YOUR NAME / NOOLAN'S SALOON / BE YOUR AGE / MOVING BED.
SIDE 2: SWING GENTLY / STAMP OF A VAMP / LOVE FOR SALE / DILLANTE / JUST IN TIME / NO STYLE.
Thos album eventually came out about a year later on LONDON RECORDS, but in a re-recorded version !!!
The album also comes with the pressing plant information sheet about the possible ISLAND LOGO ON THE LABEL, catalogue number intended track listing and all other relevant pressing information, but as we know never came out on ISLAND RECORDS.
And as if all that was not enough THIS ALBUM WAS NEVER PLAYED, and the condition is: BOTH ONE SIDED VINYL MINT- (UNPLAYED, paper scuffs only), PRESSING PLANT INFORMATION SHEET in VG+++ condition (minor bends).
DON'T LET THIS RARE UNRELEASED VIC GODARD /PUNK / INDIE PPOP album get away as you will never see another and especially not in this condition.
