Here is a RARE vintage record from my collection offered up for sale: A cool 1968 Psych Lp album, Merrel Frankhauser And his TRUSTY H.M.S. Bounty "THINGS", this the vintage 1968 ORIGINAL 1st pressing with the blue labels. Released 1968 on SHAMLEY records SS-701 (universal city records on sunset blvd) Stereo. These guys were groundbreaking psych rockers and this album is a groove! They sound to me to be a cross hybrid of the Byrds and Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd! Very cool!!
This record rates strong VG+, is very glossy, has some light marks, nothing heavy, has been well cared for 48 years! PLAY TESTED, plays with excellent audio quality, clear sound, minimal surface noise, no skips, no jumps, a VERY enjoyable listen! Side 1 shows some spotting on the vinyl. I washed it but it seems permanent. This visible spotting has a very MINOR audible effect that might be heard between the tracks. This IS an very enjoyable listening record!
This 48 year old original cover rates VG+/EX, colors are bright with no ring wear, edges have minimal wear and are solid, no splits, no tape, binder edge is EX and readable, back is clean, no signatures or writing, has been a well cared for 48 year old! (see all pictures).
