Try to find this item soon! VERY RARE! Original yellow label promo in glorious Mono sound: Velvet Underground & Nico, 1966, with Andy Warhol banana art fully intact, and the suspended male torso on the back side that was airbrushed out in later edition copies!  Includes original Verve LP picture catalog inner sleeve. Superlative original Mono edition of The Velvet Underground & Nico debut LP with Lou Reed, John Cale, Maureen Tucker, Sterling Morrison, and Nico. The definitive grandfather of punk rock and rock as an underworld art form. On the VERY RARE yellow Verve promotional label. This raw and rudimentary music is just as strong today as is was in 1966. Lou Reed archetypal songwriting craftsmanship is alarmingly authentic and as dark as a New York sewer tunnel.
The vinyl is in superb condition with just a micro-thin surface scratch that does not affect play.
The cover is a VERY STRONG VG+++!!! The banana, though fully intact, has a clean and razor-thin split at the banana's neck that looks to be re-thought attempt to remove the peel.
A VERY excellent and mega-rare item!!!
