Description

VERY RARE SIGNED 7" SINGLE BY THE N' BETWEENS ( SLADE ) NODDY HOLDER 1966   Evil Witch Man & You Better Run     You've got more chance of seeing a fairy at the bottom of the garden than finding this record with signatures   If your a Slade fan you'll know how special this record is even WITHOUT the signatures they don't come up for sale very often So why not stick a bid on to secure this record for your collection    The record has been signed by the band to Ann The signature label was purposely stuck on the record ( before the band signed it ) to prove its authenticity because as im sure you'll know  john howell, mick marson, and cass jones left in 66 as noddy holder and jim lea joined in 66 just before the single was released. If you look at the photos you'll see the band could have only signed there signatures on the record becasue of the shape the paper is cut    The playing service is in good condition with just a few minor scratches which doesn't effect the playing in anyway.   There are slight marks on one side where someone has removed a sticker of some kind which has left traces of the paper or glue behind I've not tried cleaning it for obvious reasons  The record also comes in the original sleeve which is in better than average condition for its near 40 years age   I would love to keep this record as an investment for my kids but with a new baby on the way I need the CASH     I've included a few links below and some information which should give you a bit more background info on THE N' BETWEENS & SLADE   The 'N Betweens   SLADE FROM THE BEGINNING   AUTOGRAPHS     You Better Run was a cover of a song by the American group The Young Rascals but the single did not sell except in the West Midlands area where the N'Betweens had a large following.   A big break for the N'Betweens came when they were performing at a club in London and were spotted by the eccentric American record producer Kim Fowley. After proclaiming the N'Betweens as "the next big thing" Fowley arranged to have the group record some songs at Regent Sound studios and the result of this was a single You Better Run/Evil Witchman being released by Columbia Records in August of 1966.     PLEASE NOTE  I'VE HAD A VERY GOOD OFFER FROM A LOCAL DEALER WHO SELLS TO THE JAPANESE MARKET WHERE IM TOLD SLADE WERE VERY BIG SO IF THE BIDDING DOESN'T REACH THIS AMOUNT I WILL END THE AUCTION EARLY
