VERY RARE Reznor Exotic Birds L'Oiseau Nine Inch Nails

Extremely rare, very hard-to-find private label mini album from Exotic Birds, the Cleveland-based band that features Trent Reznor in all his pre-Nine Inch Nails glory. This is a 80s-style synth-pop record worth owning, even more so with the appearance of Reznor and future Stabbing Westward member Andrew Kubiszewski (who has also toured with The The and Crowded House). I stumbled onto this many years ago and it’s been sitting in my music vault ever since.

The jacket and record are in near mint condition. There is a minor scuff (line actually) at the top of the cover on both sides.

To my knowledge, this is the only Exotic Birds album on which Reznor appears.

The album was recorded at Beachwood Studios in Cleveland. It was released on the Pleasureland Records label and the catalog number is PLEP1804. This is an original pressing.

All LPs come boxed carefully in corrugated boxes made specifically for LPs, plus the LPs are housed in clear plastic LP sleeves. LP is removed from cover ( except for SEALED LPs) for shipping to prevent seam splitting.

I've added a second photo featuring the detailed section of the back cover that shows Reznor's name. There are listing for other Exotic Birds recordings on eBay but Reznor does not appear as a member on them. Hence, the rarity of this item which is the Rosetta Stone of NIN archaeology.
