VERY RARE ORIGINAL SIGNED FANNY MOTHERS PRIDE LP '73 WARNER REPRISE MS 2137 NICE





For your consideration is one ~Very Rare~ Original ~Signed~ "Fanny" - Mothers Pride - 12" 33 1/3 vinyl LP record on Reprise Records MS 2137 from 1973! This is the last of three different genuine signed Fanny LP's that I have left to sell. Both customers that I sold the last two signed Fanny LP's to we're both exceptionally pleased with their purchases as you will be if you purchase this last original signed Fanny LP that I have left to sell! The original jacket is fully in tact with the only minor flaws being some scattered light age ring wear rubs on the front and back side plus some shelf rubs to the outer, upper and lower spine edges with the jacket being free from splits, stains or moisture damage. The jacket does bubble out a bit at the open end. The original paper record sleeve has one small 2" split on the bottom edge. The art work on the jacket is nice and bright and unfaded with the finish being smooth and shiny with the jacket being nearly free from creases having only some very small light one sided scattered creases which are located on the front side of the jacket only along the spine with both bottom sharp outer tips of the jacket being a bit soft. Additionally on the back of the jacket in the upper left hand side close to the open end of the jacket is hand written very lightly in pencil what looks like LOT 206 and then the name CULTON under the LOT 206. The four signatures on the cover are very legible and were all done in the sharpy of the day a "black ink" ball point pen! Located just to the lower left of the pink lettered title of the LP Mothers Pride which is located in the upper right hand side of the jacket is the signature of Nicky Barclay ( aka ) Nicoel Barclay. It must be noted that it looks like Nicky must have been having an issue with the flow of the ink in the first "Blue ink" ball point pen that she attempted to use first time around because she doubled up on writing part of her first name and mostly all of the second part of her name with a replacement "Black ink" ball point pen due to her first attempt being a bit too light apparently due to the "Blue ink" ball point pen running out of ink! The other three girls signed their names with what appears to be the same replacement "Black ink" ball point pen as well which of course makes total sense. June Millington's signature is found just below Nickey's and over to the left of June's signature just above the star which is technically the left eye on the front cover art is Jean Yulonda Millington's signature which she simply signed as Jean Yulonda with Alice M de Buhr's signature being found in the lower central part of the jacket just above the upper part of the pink lipstick covered lips. She additionally drew a tiny picture inside the open mouth on the tongue which appears as a rendition of a smiley face with two tiny eyes and a squiggly mouth below the two eyes! The vinyl is in near mint condition being nice and clean having a very nice luster to it and a limited amount of very light scattered micro surface scuffs which do not effect the playability of the record. The Reprise labels are in near mint condition as well being nice and bright being free from writing or record player spindle damage. The run off numbers on the vinyl record are as follows: Side One: MS - 2137 + 31564-1E Also stamped opposite of the run off numbers with the name Sterling / Side 2: MS - 2137 + 31565-1F Also stamped opposite of the run off numbers with the name Sterling as well. Also included is the original shiny black finish with white lettering one sided lyric sheet which is free from creases other than one tiny little dog eared corner and the original bio write up on Fanny's Mother's Pride LP which was their 4th LP which was produced, engineered and mixed by Todd Rundgren which is in near mint condtion! This is a great vintage rock record LP to add to your vintage vinyl album collection!

Fanny was an American All-Female Rock Band consisting of four members and were very active in the early 1970s. They were one of the first notable rock groups to be made up entirely of women, the third to sign with a major label (after Goldie & the Gingerbreads and The Pleasure Seekers), and the first to release an album on a major label! They achieved two top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and released five albums. They were invited to record at the Beatles Abbey Road Studios in London and played on Barbara Streisand's Rock LP of the day as well.
