VERY RARE "Elvis Gold Records Vol. 2" with Double Image Cover Printing Error

Very, very rare (possibly one of a kind) "50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong, Elvis' Gold Records, Volume 2" with offset printing double image error on the front of the album cover. The cover is still wrapped in vinyl. Only the side of the vinyl wrap was slit to take the record out. The album cover is UNTOUCHED since it was printed in 1959. Album cover is in mint condition. The vinyl wrapping is very slightly torn at the top right corner only; all the rest of the vinyl wrapping is intact; all of the album cover is in pristine condition; no marks, no scratches, no discoloration.

This is a "Magic Millions" designated album by RCA Victor, making this LPM-2075 even more rare. One owner since original purchase. Purchased brand new by my parents in 1959, most likely in Quantico, Virginia, where my father, a Lt. Col. in the Marine Corps, was stationed at the time. My parents, like all of America, were Elvis fans, but not big music lovers. The album was opened, but likely never played much. It most likely received the surface scratches on the LP when my older sister played the record during a few dance parties in the 1960's. The record was misplaced into another Elvis album cover, and its location unknown, until I discovered it two weeks ago. Therefore, the album cover was never transported much and remained in my parents' record chest, at least for the last 45 years. Stored upright, pressed between other LP's, the record is very flat, and the album cover in pristine condition. The inner paper slip cover is also in good condition, but does show some acid aging on the edges from the acid in the paper. I can testify to the fact that this record has not been played since the 1960's, but the collector who wins this auction will likely never play it anyway, buying it for the rarity and pristine condition of the cover.

I could not find any information on the Internet on this RARE offset printing error visible on the cover. It very likely could be one of kind. Somehow, the error slipped by the RCA quality control on the assembly line and was actually delivered to a store. My mother most likely saw it in the Quantico Base PX and snapped it up. I assume that since this was the only record in their extensive collection that still had the vinyl intact, she knew even at that time how unusual and rare this cover is and wanted to preserve it. All images and cover text are offset in red to the left; however, the RCA Victor information printed in black at the bottom and top are not offset and appear to have been printed first. The album does state "Printed in U.S.A." All other images I have seen of this album show normal, clear images. The back image of the dashingly handsome young Elvis is perfectly printed, no flaws. This is very likely one of a kind in the world. So rare as to have no information available on it publicly.

For sale now to the highest bidder. The winner of this auction will not only have a rare Elvis album made even more rare by the perfect, still covered condition of the cover, but they will have an LP in their collection that few, if any at all, other people in the world have or have even seen.
