Description
DEAD OR ALIVE Lover Come Back To Me (Rare 1985 original UK 7" in withdrawn 'Blue' sleeve. This unique cover features a heavily pixelated image of Pete, with typical 1980's style computer screen graphic titles printed inside a vertical black column of the left hand side. Undoubtedly the rarest DOA sleeve in the world, and only the second time we have found one in the past 18 years. A truly genuine rarity! A6086).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE WITHDRAWN SLEEVE
In addition to the alternate front cover, the back sleeve is also slightly different. The more common 'green' sleeve issued to replace this one features a front cover photograph of Pete by reknowned fashion photographer Mario Testino. This withdrawn sleeve uses an image by photographer Brian Maher, which was then manipulated to create the unique 'pixel-style' effect. Whilst the back covers appear to be the same at first glance, closer inspection reveals these different photographer credits, clearly printed beneath the Paul Cox photo of the whole band. Furthermore the 'Design / Artwork' credits are different (as you would expect) and the 'Production and Mixing' credits to Zeus B. Held and Tim Palmer are also missing from the back of the withdrawn cover.
This genuine first issue also uses the traditional blue and yellow Epic record labels on both sides, whereas later issues in the 'green' sleeve have black and silver labels.
Definitely one of the most interesting DOA collectables... It would be good to know exactly why they changed their minds about this original sleeve - no doubt Mr. Burns fancied a photo session with Mario Testino!
