Description

SUPER-RARE, THE ROLLING STONES, UNRELEASED SINGLE 'ACETATE'     SOMETHING HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY".    This Super-Rare Single 45rpm 'Acetate was Never Released As A Single Vinyl Release, & this Is Possible the Only-Known Copy in Existence!!!                  Please Read All of the below for full Information & Please feel free to ask any Questions.        This Super-Rare "Rolling Stones" One-Sided Single Vinyl Acetate of "Something Happened to Me Yesterday" Was never Released as a Single 45rpm Release!!!            This is a Chance to Own a Piece of "Music Heritage, along With Rare Acetates of 'Elvis Preseley', 'The Beatles, 'The Sex Pistols, The Rolling Stones" Acetates are The Best Investments Money Can Buy, & Never Go Down in Value, & Make Priceless Items to Pass onto Children & Relatives. This is likely your only Opportunity to Own One of the "Rarest ever Acetates of The 'Legendary 'Rolling Stones' I know very little of why this Acetate was never released as a Single, however, this is what makes this an "Holy-Grail" among Serious Rolling Stones' Collectors or Someone whom knows" A fantastic Investment for the Future' Investment, Considering it was only Pressed  for play-back Listening or a Private Acetate for One of The Rolling Stones" Band Members, It Sounds like the Original recording which was released as the Album Track which all Stones fans have in their Record Collection. My Grading of this Super-Rare Acetate' Is a VG+ Condition which is fantastic, due to its nearly Sixty Years since it was Pressed!! There are no major Scratches, though there are a few lighter marks ( most are sleeve marks & what appears to be very light stylus marks, where the Acetate was played for play-back purposes. Also though on the quieter parts of the song later on, I thought the sound quality diminished a little. The label itself is something else. It is written Beautifully without error, there are no pen marks or damage  to the label, but it looks Slighty faded in the centre. This should be evident in the photos. The B-Side is Blank, with a nice shine to it, plus with all acetates I f the 1960s you will notice the "Smell" of the Vinyl, which to me smells like an Old Valve Radio Gram when it is warming-up after being turned-on!!! In regard to the Winning Bidder, UK Collectors will be sent this Rare item via "Special Delivery" (£7.60) including Insurance of upto £2,500. Oversea winning Bidders need to be informed that a £40 charge will be added to the final price, which covers an insurance cover of £2,500 in the event of this Acetate getting lost, via Airmail" Travel. This is due to the Rarity, normal tracked insurance signed items are only covered up-to £250, and I am not willing to send this for only this coverage, so I need to increase this to £40 to cover this very rare Acetate to the Sum of £2,500. I am willing to allow collection of this Acetate by Pre-arrangement for UK Bidders if requested. Full refund if not satisfied, ant problem with this Acetate must be reported to me within 7 Days of receipt. Return postage & insurance must be paid by the Buyer insurance of £2,500. Here is a little background on this Super-Rare, possibly "One-off' known Acetate of this Vinyl Single. In regard to opening Bids I have started the Bid of £50 and have put a reasonable reserve to reflect the Rarity, just INCASE Serious Rolling Stones' Collectors' miss this listing of this "HOLY GRAIL" of a Must-Own' Treasure!! Ok some background on this recording as promised!!!!                                                                                                            Something Happened to Me Yesterday" is the closing track of The Rolling Stones' 1967 album Between the Buttons. Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and recorded in August and November 1966, "Something Happened to Me Yesterday" is the first officially released Rolling Stones track to feature Richards on separate lead vocal. Jagger sings the verses; Richards sings the chorus and plays the electric and acoustic guitars; Charlie Watts is on drums and Bill Wyman on bass, Brian Jones plays saxophone and whistles, and Jack Nitzsche plays piano.   At the time of the song's release, Jagger said: "I leave it to the individual imagination as to what happened."Matthew Greenwald calls it "one [of] the most accurate songs about LSD.     The song ends with a spoken passage: "Well thank you very much and now I think it's time for us all to go. So from all of us to all of you, not forgetting the boys in the band and our producer Reg Thorpe, we'd like to say God bless. So if you're out tonight, don't forget, if you're on your bike, wear white. Evening all."Jagger has said (plainly facetiously) that this passage is "something I remember hearing on the BBC as the bombs dropped", (i.e. in the first two years of his life). However, this sort of homily was typically rendered at the end of an episode of the early police procedural Dixon of Dock Green by PC Dixon, an old school bobby.
