Vera Lynn - 'Goodnight / The Fool On The Hill'. DB-8529
Vera Lynn 1969 UK DEMO pressing of 'Goodnight / The Fool On The Hill' 7" single. Released on the 10th January 1969, both tracks featured here were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. It is offered here in stunning EXCELLENT+/MINT- condition.
These initial early demonstration pressings would have been given out to important reviewers and radio stations prior to the release date. Both labels state: 'DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE' and the release date of '10.1.69'. Interestingly the side one label features an embossed 'KJT' tax code which is very unusual for a vinyl of this date (1969).
This particular copy was originally owned by ATV Music Publishing. ATV were a major player in 1960's British music who went on to buy Lennon and McCartney's 'Northern Songs' publishing company owning almost all of The Beatles back catalogue. The company was famously sold to Michael Jackson in 1985 very much to Paul McCartney's annoyance.

The vinyl is in EXCELLENT+/MINT- condition.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The original sleeve is in GOOD+ condition. Damage to the front bottom but these are very easy to replace.
