Well, what can we say about Venetian Snares? Aaron Funk has made some of the most inspirational electronic music since the mighty AFX and if you haven't heard of them you should be ashamed...Jokes aside, the diversity and creativity of the outfit is unstoppable, spewing out bursts of energy from nowhere and like no-one else can. They land on Planet Mu, of course, and it's one of the wackiest collages of beats and melodics that we've heard in donkeys. The opening track, "10th Opening Of Winnipeg" is a perfect encapsulation of their style, where gentle waves of melodic euphoria are torn apart and spat out by tempestuous slices of enraged breakbeats and noxious sonics. If you're into your weird shit, look no further. The Snares back in action!
