Description

This is the orginal US release of the Velvet Underground's first LP. The back cover has the image of Eric Emerson upsidedown from Warhol's film 'Chelsea Girls'. This version of the record was pulled from the shelves so Emerson's image could be airbrushed out to avoid legal complications. The cover features the peelable banana intact (yes, it's pink underneath) and is a gatefold that includes pictures and info inside.

I don't know a ton about records, but I know this is not in mint condition. There is some wear on the cover and a few scratchs on the record. I do know that it is a true collectors item for any Velvet Underground fan. I also know that this record sells for between $500 and $1,000 in mint condition. Very few copies are still around.
