Velvet Strings - The Soft Touch, Volume Two. A rare private press release with a film soundtrack feeling. See more information below. PAMA Productions #1021 stereo 12" LP record album. Condition: Record is close to NM. Cover is close to NM with factory corner punch. Tracks: The Soft Touch, Velvet Romance, Follow the Bright Brick Road, Lazy Sunday, Sweet 'n' Funky, So Sure, Frail Sally, Wrap Your Trouble in Hope, G String, Fire 'N' Ice. Comments: PAMA Productions operated out of Sherman Oaks, California from approximately the late 60s into the mid-70s. In some cases their records were issued under the Jadale label, and other times only with a serial number and "PAMA Productions" sticker. Very little information is available on the studio, although it is known they released a variety of music formats from pop psyche, surf/hot rod instrumental, soul and R&B, to easy listening. It has been suggested they purchased original music from various artists, particularly based in Canada, and then issued the material under different names. Some of the artist names included Morning Reign, Velvet Strings, Spirit of '76, Metropole Orchestra, and Strings Unlimited. One web description of PAMA Productions theorized that less than 100 copies of each album was pressed. One thing is certain, this record is extremely rare and it is unlikely you will ever run across it again, and nearly as unlikely you will even find it in a web-based search.
