Description

For auction is a 3 LP set of the Vegh Quartet playing the five Beethoven middle quartets.  This set is sealed, never opened.  This set is on the Telefunken label, printed by Teldec in Germany, SPA 25096 -T/1-2.  In addition to the five Beethoven middle quartets, there is also the Rasumowsky-Quartett, op.74, op.95.  The set comes complete with 3 LPs, notes, and box.  This set is pristine, wrapped in cellophane, with two price tags.

These are famous, rare recordings.  They are supposed to be among the finest Beethoven quartet recordings ever produced.  The Vegh quartet only recorded in the early 1950s and another cycle in 1972 and 1973. This set was printed in 1973.  The performances and sonics are supposed to be simply outstanding.   To find this set in sealed condition is a rare event.  This set comes from the collection of an elderly audiophile in my family and has been in storage for the last 15 years.

I pack carefully and ship fast.  I ship albums in special LP shipping cartons.

Shipping in the US is via US Media Mail.   Shipping to other countries is the actual cost of shipping along with a $1 fee to cover the cost of the shipping carton and packing supplies.  I absorb the cost of insurance on any album or set over $50. 

Payment is via Paypal only.  I expect payment within 12 hours of the completion of an auction and will offer items to secondary bidders if payment is not received within 24 hours.  I use Paypal because it speeds transactions and allows me to ship quickly.
