There is an effortless and deceptive simplicity to the 31 old school head nodders that feature on this bumper collection of lo-fi hip-hop joints. They tap into plenty of emotion cores - blues, soul, and introspection, all through the most deft melodic touches, rough edge MPC beats and languid rhythms. They are instant vibe makes, like one of those roaring fire images you can get for your TV at Xmas that transforms the mood and cooks up an immediate atmosphere. It's endlessly charming and oh-so easy to listen to that you will quickly find yourself at ease with the world
