Description

2009 reissue 180 gram audiophile LP -- VAN MORRISON - Astral Weeks -- R1 1768 -- 1968 / 2009 Warner Bros. Records USA.  Critically acclaimed, this was the late 1968 Warner Bros. debut album from Van, with so many whimsical, jazzy, soulful and colorful songs -- a masterpiece.  In my opinion, he never put out another like it.  This is the 2009 reissue mastered by Kevin Gray, one of the best mastering engineers in the world.  There is a bit of mottling on the surface, which likely occurred during the pressing process, but it does not affect play -- it is cosmetic in nature, only, not audible.  Otherwise, this LP would have been graded as near mint.  Near mint is my highest grade for an opened LP.  Jacket/outer sleeve in near mint condition and still has the original loose-fit shrink wrap over it with the RTI HQ-180 sticker still affixed to the upper right portion of the front (see photo).  LP enclosed in original plastic protective inner sleeve.  I am an audiophile and have extensive experience grading, so bid with confidence.  Low opening bid.  FREE SHIPPING in the continental USA.  International bidders are welcome, but will pay for shipping.  Serious bidders only, please.  PLEASE SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS for CDs and LPs.  Thank you!
