Release details : 1968 Blue A-Label Promo Australian issue on the PARLOPHONE label ( Cat. No.# A8321 )

Condition :
Vinyl ~ A super copy. Some light paper scuffs only, plenty of original gloss, no lead-in hiss or background noise and tracks through magnificently. Rated EX .. perhaps a touch better … and is certain to please.

Sleeve ~ It came in a plain paper bag however I've substituted an Australian 60's Parlophone bag ( which is not that easy to find in itself these days ) for collectable sake.

Description :
Here is a brilliant copy of this seriously rare Australian 'Blue A-label promo' pressing 45 from short lived Birmingham (UK) outfit 'Lemon Tree' who are credited with only ever releasing two singles (1968 & 1969 ) in the latter stages of the flower-power era before calling it a day.
The A-side here was written by original Move bassist Ace Kefford ( who had recently left to form his own group The Ace Kefford Stand ) and produced by another ex-Move man, Trevor Burton and Amen Corner's Andy Fairweather-Low.
Now regarded as a 'long lost classic' / 'psych monster' this single is rarely sighted nowadays in England … to stumble across an Australian 'promo' in such magnificent condition is an exceptional find. Furthermore I seriously doubt this 45 ever made it past the 'advance-copy' stage as the pop-friendly radio station programmers in the late 60's would've scarcely given this particular record a second thought and no doubt it was shuffled to the bottom of the discarded pile as I have no recollection of hearing it ( or hearing of it either ) before now.
A super-rare and pretty well close to 'never to be seen again' item that will make an impressive addition to your collection.
