Description
An interesting collection of 83 used mini discs offered. All of these discs contain house music from the late 1980s through to the late 1990s. They are offered as either a source of discs for recording on, or for the music they contain - I'm not sure if there is a market for music in this media. Most of the discs are good quality Sony MDW74 Premiums, all of the discs are 74 minute capacity.
The detailed breakdown is below, but to summarise, there are many Graeme Park dj sets, a number of Sasha dj sets, and a number of radio recordings and other stuff.
The Graeme Park discs are of varying quality. Many of the them are high quality, a few are fairly poor. These are mini disc copies of cassette tapes which were themselves copies. Although the equipment used to copy from tape to mini disc was good quality, the tape source itself may not have been so please bear that in mind. If you're a Graeme Park fan like me, you'll know the quality of the music is excellent!
The same is true of the Sasha discs.
Both radio collections will be of limited appeal I think. The Starlight FM discs are copies of home recordings of this Birimingham based pirate radio station and all of the tape source is of pretty low quality. The Essential Selection discs are highly edited home recordings from the Radio 1 show. You won't find complete dj sets, just individual tracks. The tape source is of medium to low quality.
The Adamski disc is a copy of an original cassette of the album.
Finally, amongst the miscellaneous discs are some unlabelled Graeme Park Hacienda sets, and some high sound quality mixes from the failed dj PPCooper who you will only have heard of if you know me....
