This is the album that solidified Uriah Heep's reputation as a master of gothic-inflected heavy metal. From short, sharp rock songs to lengthy, musically dense epics, Demons and Wizards finds Uriah Heep covering all the bases with style and power. The album's approach is set with its lead-off track, "The Wizard": it starts as a simple acoustic tune but soon builds into a stately rocker that surges forth on a wall of sound built from thick guitar riffs, churchy organ, and operatic vocal harmonies. Other highlights include "Traveller in Time," a fantasy-themed rocker built on thick wah-wah guitar riffs, and "Circle of Hands," a stately power ballad with a gospel-meets-heavy metal feel to it. However, the top highlight of the album is the closing medley of "Paradise" and "The Spell": the first part of the medley starts in an acoustic folk mode and slowly adds layers of organ and electric guitar until it becomes a forceful slow-tempo rocker, while the second half is a punchy, organ-led rocker that includes an instrumental midsection where choral-style harmonies fortify a killer guitar solo from Mick Box.
All in all, Demons and Wizards works both as a showcase for Uriah Heep's instrumental firepower and an excellent display of their songwriting skills in a variety of hard rock styles and as a result, it is considered by many fans to be their finest hour

Condition of Vinyl: VG+ or EX- with an EX+ AUDIO. Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen with hardly any dulling.
There are lots of mainly hairline surface marks. However you need to know that none of these have any significant audible impact.
Remember i am grading my records under a very strong light. This is a very good copy!!!
LABELS: The labels are in great condition. Check photos.
I found no major audio issues of note - no scratches and no grove-wear or distortion. Plays with some very light surface noise on the run-ins and some of the quietest passages (but nothing I found in the slightest intrusive)
Plays great throughout , easily like an EX+ and sounds absolutely sensational.
This is an absolute gem of a record!!!. Beautiful!!! No jumps or skips.

The unlaminated gatefold cover is in BEAUTIFUL condition.
There is very, very light wear.
There are very light signs of ring wear at the back.
There is a very small sign of an old sticker to the top right of the cover.
There are hardly any light creases.
The inner sleeve is in ok condition with some light signs all around.
The inside is practically perfect.
The spine is practically perfect.
There is some very, very light wear along the edges.

GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
PACKAGING INFORMATION:
LPs and singles will be sent in a record mailing envelope and will be protected by two cardboard stiffeners.
