We're proud to offer one of our best selections of LPs ever this week! Hundreds of hard to find soul, funk, disco, modern soul, boogie, jazz funk, hip hop, blues & R&B titles in collectible condition are up for grabs! Please consider bidding on multiple LPs to save big on shipping. 


Label: See photos, original pressing, acetate. Billy Durham side has 4 tracks - two versions of "Searching For Tomorrow" and two versions of another song, title unknown. Other side of the disc has five songs by a singer named Susan Collins.

Record Grade:  looks strong VG to VG+ but plays with some crackle on some tracks. Searching For Tomorrow plays better (listen to clip).

Cover Grade:  No cover. Housed in a generic 12" sleeve as found.

Crazy discovery! I listened to all the Billy Durham tracks I could find online (he only released two 45s, on the Anthem label) and the two songs on here (with two significantly different takes each) seem to have never been released. "Searching For Tomorrow" is to my ears the real stand-out, just a perfect mid-tempo floater! The other song (title unclear) is also a really nice mellow ballad.
On the other side of the disc we find an unknown singer/songstress named Susan Collins, mostly just piano and vocals with some light percussion on some tracks, probably a couple originals and some obvious covers. Certainly not bad for what it is but the Billy Durham side is really the selling point with this. I don't know the backstory of where this acetate came from, it's kind of odd to have 2 unrelated artists on either side of the same disc. Maybe someone at a recording studio or record label was just transferring master tapes to acetate for internal use back in the day. Suffice to say, impossibly rare!
Shipping within the U.S. is $7 for the first LP and 50 cents per additional (media mail). International mail (handled by Asendia USA) is $23 for the first LP and $5 per additional (larger orders of more than 10 LPs will be quoted during invoicing and may cost a bit more or less depending on actual cost of postage and materials). Canada is $17 for 1 and $3 per additional.

Grading:  I grade conservatively on a scale of NM, Excellent, VG+, VG, VG-, G.  Get images that
