UNCLE DAVE MACON: Sassy Sam/Stop That Knocking at My Door (Vocalion 5006). Two great Macon solos with banjo from 1926. Looks V condition, but plays much stronger, at least V+ with all music coming through very clear; one small skip for me on “Sassy“; labels quite dirty.

I’m helping a friend auction off his collection of fine old time, blues and ethnic 78s. There are some wonderful records, so check my other listings and keep checking back. Due to my schedule these listings will be spread over several weeks time.
