Unit 5 was a rock band from Akron,Ohio that formed in the 1970/80s. The group featured Tracey Thomas on vocals, Mark Jendrisak on bass, Paul Teagle on keyboards and synthesizer, Mike Johnson on lead guitar, and Bob Ethington on percussion.
Commercially available single from 1980. Seminal art/punk/power pop band from Akron. See below for more details about the band. A "must-have" for collectors of Ohio-based bands. Comes in an over-sized (8"x 8") fold-over cover (not a normal sized picture sleeve) that has lyrics, credits as well as additional photos
They thank The Bizarros of course, and The Hammer-Damage band, Dead Boys, Action, Chi-Pig, Wild Giraffes,Tin Huey, etc. The Bizarros' label Clone released an LP by this group in 1981
