We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

VERY RARE UK 1974 BLUE TRANSITION CHRYSALIS PRESS LP  - STILL WITH THE 1st SLEEVE

THIS IS A SUPER RARE COPY, AS IT HAS THE A & B LABELS STUCK ON THE WRONG SIDES -

THE VINYL   EX  AND PLAYS SUPERB

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly PRIZED 1st  BLUE LABEL pressing WITH THE LABELS ON THE WRONG SIDE- A PLAYS B, B PLAYS A!  (We have never unearthed one of these before!)

We can assume that this error was quickly remedied on subsequent presings, and as far as we know all the 'Green label' first presses are correct..making this A//2 B//2 BLUE LABEL even rarer than the green ones!

  - Stored from new this LP has seen BELOW AVERAGE plays only, and remains in SUPER CLEAN condition everywhere.

This  pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all like this.

THERE ARE JUST A FEW SKATE LINES AROUND THE SPINDLE HOLE

There are SOME light whisp lines, a few tiny light hairlines and thats it-  nothing else!  No scratches or marks that affect the play at all.  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, and therefore there are a few little dust specs on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

On playing through we heard some light static in the opening dead grooves a little a long the way...possibly the odd dust pop which will not sound next time through we doubt. 

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

THE LABELS   MINT-  FLAT MATT LABELS

THE SLEEVE     EX STRONG

Correct MATT first UK issued earliest sleeve  - with square PROUD spine. NO CHRYSALIS LOGO ON THE BACK TOP RIGHT SIDE..This was added on later copies, rathetr than in the yellow credit box below

PRINTER CREDITS -  ROBOR

 This is in super condition with little wear or shelf rub.

The edges are all super clean with just some light traces of rub, at all , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition

A LIGHT CREASE AND CORNER DINK ON THE BOTTOM SPINE CORNER & back bottom corner

No  ringwear - some  light ring press only.

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp as new condition -some light feathering only

The spine edge has a few little crimped spots along its edge.

There  are a few  tiny feint spider lines on the edges -

Overall a cracking example- as we rarely see this LP at all, and when we do its normally always ring worn..

Original poly lined, pat printed paper iner..no damage.
