 Out Of Print 18 Track Compilation (500 Only) From Cult '60s TV Series

Issued a few years back, this excellent selection of themes and cues from Gerry Anderson's cult, live action Sci-Fi TV series, finally made Barry Grays superb music available on vinyl. There had been no soundtrack  at the time of the programme's original run in 1969/70  and only a few low quality (ie dubbed from TV) tracks had surfaced before Fanderson, tireless archivers of Grays scores for Anderson's various projects, produced a superb double CD of UFO music in their ongoing series of releases, which took in Captain Scarlet, Supercar and many others. This Ltd vinyl album was lovingly produced from the original master tapes and features 18 of the best tracks from that collection.

The music will appeal to all lovers of groovy '60s music and not just lovers of soundtracks and kitsch! There are swinging organs, eerie theremin like interludes (provided by the eerie sounding Ondes Martenot) and enough grooves and sub funky riffs to prick up the ear of even a '70s soul collector.

As with most of Trunk record's archival releases, the quality of the pressing is exceptional. This copy is on a transparent gray vinyl (see picture). There were others on black vinyl. I'm not sure how many were pressed of each colour, but the few I've seen tend to be black.  The record is in excellent condition. I believe it was possibly unplayed but there is a very light surface mark which prevents me describing it as near mint. I have subsequently play tested this section of the LP and there is only a couple of very light ticks in a near silent part of the track. Otherwise the vinyl and labels look  excellent with no spindle marks and a good clean sheen. The cover I would rate as excellent +  showing only the most minimal signs of wear.


This LP is highly sought after by soundtrack collectors and fans of '60s music alike and is becoming increasingly hard to locate for under £50. Here's your chance to own not only a brilliant LP, but a surefire collectors item to boot!
