CIRCULO DOS LEITORES (CL) was the largest Portuguese Club Editor, doing special & limited editions of books and records to be sold to its members. The 70's CL's albums special editions had unique sleeves and a specific CL catalog number [usually CL-xxxx format]. In the middle of the 80's CL starts to sold to its members the standard Portuguese albums releases, with no CL's identification details or statements printed on the sleeve or label, except a CL specific catalog number (with a 7xxxx format) printed only on a small sticker on the rear sleeve (the most usual form) or printed directly on the back cover.
There are not any reference of "CIRCULO DOS LEITORES" (CL) printed directly on sleeves or labels on The Joshua Tree albums released by this Club. The JT copies sold by CL are only identified by a second catalog number printed on a small sticker on rear sleeve ["CL 77607" or "77607" only].
Because a very limited number of JT albums were released / sold by CL, it is very hard to find a JT CL copie today
