Description

This is a genuine UK Video industry Silver Sales Award for the video “Live at Red Rocks” given to the video’s UK distributor/label, Virgin Video.  This was issued by Video Business, the UK video industry magazine published during the 1980s.  Along with the magazine, Video Business also hosted the short-lived annual UK Video Awards.  I’ve included images of the programme from the 1984 Awards ceremony which lists the sales awards including “Live at Red Rocks”.  Please note: I don’t own the actual programme, so it is not included as part of this sale.    
This framed & glazed award is in a silver aluminium frame measuring 28x42cms.  It was produced by Century Displays, the same company who made BPI sales awards for the British music industry.  Overall the award is in very good condition.  There are a few minor scratches on the edge of the frame and a very slight air bubble under the video cover, but nothing you’ll notice once it’s hanging on the wall.
A unique piece of U2 memorabilia.
