ORIGINAL BLUE NOTE VINYL!
Seldom seen in UK auctions is a FIRST STEREO PRESSING of Tyrone Washington Natural Essence (Blue Note BST 84274) from 1968, still in its original shrinkwrap with a cover in virtually pristine condition inside. The vinyl is also in fantastic condition - you will struggle to find a better version of this album after 55 years! It was one of the earlier Blue Note Liberty pressings, which means the audio is full of life and clarity. I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks.
Cover is a strong Excellent as it's still in original shrinkwrap - which means that underneath the shrinkwrap it's virtually as new! Shrinkwrap is complete with original sticker stating "This record can be played on all Stereo players".
Vinyl is Excellent with a glossy sheen throughout, no groove wear and very little evidence of play. 'VAN GELDER' stamp present in the deadwax. The only visible flaw is a hairline mark on side 1, which has no effect on the audio. Faint background crackle in the run-in/run-out grooves. The pristine Blue Note labels have no spindle marks. Original Liberty inner has 4in of clear tape along the central part of the base and clear tape on both sides.

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
