TWICE AS MUCH - Own Up - Mono 1966 Immediate
IMLP 007 1L/2L
Produced by Rolling Stones producer. Led Zeplin founder Jimmy Page on guitar.
We have finally decided to clear out our old albums as we have no way of listening to them anymore they have been stored unopened or used for about 30 years....! The last record we remember buying was Dire Straits Making Movies album which I will be listing eventually.
We have very differing tastes in music so there is a huge range from Michael Chapman, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, John Renbourn, The Who, Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood, Joan Armatrading..... all sorts really. Over the next few weeks I'll be listing most of them and hoping that they will again bring some pleasure to somebody.
I know nothing about the 'correct way' of describing their condition and can only tell it as I see it. Please bear in mind that these records were not bought as collectors items but to be used and enjoyed, some more so than others! Neither of us can remember any of them being jumpy or scratched, but 30 years is a long time and as I said I've no way of checking how they play now.
This is possibly quite a rarity as they only made a couple of LP's. This is the first one, produced by Andrew Loog Oldham who owned Immediate and was the Rolling Stones producer. Jimmy Page who went on to form Led Zeplin plays guitar on this LP.
The record looks ok, a few marks no idea if any of them will affect the playing quality, a good clean would really help! The outer sleeve looks its age and shows signs of wear around the edges, I'm afraid my brother wrote his name on the back & front of the outer sleeve, and somebody has written the surname on record label and again on inner sleeve.
