For a collector, this is a great copy to own! It plays perfectly all the way through. A wonderful recording!
From my personal collection. I bought it new from Reference Recordings directly when it was first released, at the WCES show in Vegas. This LP has only been played twice on a very high-end turntable. Its cover shows only a bit of shelf wear, with no tears. I've never even cracked its cover all the way open. You can see in the photos that it has never been exposed to water or humidity. Always stored correctly by an audio professional in dry Colorado, upright and away from heat and cold.
For those unfamiliar with this work, what a wonderful performance! Brings the full spirit of the piece right into one's home. Quite moving. A real showoff recording to play but you still get lost in the music. The kind of record you want to hear all the way through even if you are not a classical fan. Stunning.
